In front of over 2,000 fans, the Palm Springs Power Springs Power beat the So Cal Mavericks 11-1 on Opening Night at historic Palm Springs Stadium. University of Texas Arlington and Palm Desert High School graduate Trevor Eby got the start and threw three shutout innings.

Cal Baptist’s Mark Kirkland scored two runs and had two RBI as well.
